“Quid Pro Quo”

If I find all the negations
Of why we can be;
Then, mayhap, there’ll remain
One plausible, shining reason
Of why we might, anyhow,
Work out and transcend
The cloisters of this realm.
You see, you seem
To glean all the limits;
Yet, I won’t stand static here
And permit you to demolish
The myriad of moments,
We’ve been through, so far.
This–whatever this is, we have–
Needs to remain unshattered,
No matter what.
So, let’s stay in a gamut
Of coruscating colors–
Sheltered and enshrouded
By a blissful bubble
That’s entirely our own.
