Abucay is a municipality in the province of Bataan.
Places of Interest
The following are places of interest, tourist attractions and/or notable landmarks in Abucay.
- Sibul Springs – an ideal holiday destination for families, gathering of friends, and health-conscious vacationers as the swimming pools are directly fed by the sulfur-rich springs. An added attraction is the Bankal Resettlement located near the spring resort where one can appreciate the culture and traditional ways of the Aetas.
- Pasukulan Falls
- Tomas Pinpin Monument – erected to preserve the memory of the famous writer and publisher who was born in this town. He was also the first Filipino printer.
- Santo Domingo Church (also called the Saint Dominic Parish Church) – the oldest church in Bataan, built in 1588. It is also one of the Seven Pilgrimage Churches which are traditionally visited during Lent for Visita Iglesia. A special spot in its museum is reserved for the very first printing press that was used by Tomas Pinpin, among the town’s prominent sons.
