You wait for the wrong people
for hours and hours,
You put your trust in the wrong people,
You tell them too much about yourself,
thinking they’ll understand,
You sleep too late and wake up too early,
You do a lot and get not even a part of it,
You sleep thinking of them
and wake up dreaming about them,
Before opening both your eyes properly,
you check on them,
You think, you dream and
you get obsessed with them,
They won’t understand the kind
of love you can give,
You are too deep and their heart is so little,
So little that they can’t feel
the sacrifices you do for them,
So little that they can’t feel even a part
of your feelings,
They ain’t worth it.

Concoct something abrasive.
Pour all the pain and blithe into it.
Now, stir it,
With the dispassion that you feel.
Make it even more nefarious–
Use, a bit, of horrendous cursing.
Blend it in,
With discordant cackles,
Meant for evil witches and fiends.
Then, discard it–
Flash it out of your soul.
Detect a change in you?

“I Love You But I Don’t Want You”

Show Text

oh, i still love you.
i think i’ll always do.
but no, i don’t need the pain,
you make me feel.

i don’t need
feeling inadequate,
whenever you’d flirt
with others, in front of me.

i don’t need feeling lonely,
whenever i’d wait for you–
and you don’t arrive.

i don’t need all
the negative feelings
you make me feel.

yes, i love you
but no, i don’t want you
with me.

“Love Thyself”

conjure the minutest bit of love for thyself.
release the maligning hatred
and disenchantment.
for, not a soul has ever been birthed,
that can attest to a perfection
that only the gods possess.

thou art thine own perfect canvas,
of which thy unique talents can afford.
so, partake of the enfolded ink, i say.
paint thine own journey, begin with thee.
