Unity

Ang tunay na pinuno ay nakikiisa
Sa kanyang pinamumunuan–
Dama nya ang kanilang kaligayan;
Batid nya ang kanilang kalungkutan.

A true leader identifies
With his people–
He feels their joy;
He senses their pain.

“Understanding Through Love”

Show Text

one only understands what one loves.
it follows that when one is wont
to condemn and revile;
the sole solution is to see the object
with the eyes of love.
for, if one tries this technique!
then mayhap, it changes
the judgement, one employs.
oh, what a beautiful world, it may be;
if one and all shall try this course.
then perchance, the world shall be
a better place for everyone.

“Kindred Soul”

Show Text

suddenly, you meet someone
whose eyes reflect
the sadness in your eyes.
then, you know that this person
is your kindred soul–
someone who understands
how it is to be broken.
slowly, you learn to smile again.

“Ten Tiny Pills”

Show Text

ten tiny pills from the lady;
she hands them all to me.

ten tiny pills, i count;
one to ten, i see.

ten tiny pills to freedom;
a little gift for me.

ten tiny pills and water;
adrift i go, you’ll see.

ten tiny pills, my heart to ease;
you take them all from me.

ten tiny pills go down the drain.
you hug me, fiercely.
i come back to thee.

“Poverty”

In my opinion, poverty is a serious, social issue. It is a vicious cyclical problem–not only for the ones, experiencing it–but, for humanity. It is, also, a social obligation to help reduce its occurence.
